The new interactive animated series launches to mark the 250th Anniversary of US Independence this year.
As the USA prepares to celebrate 250 years of American Independence, a brand-new animated series From Ulster to America produced by Educational Voice is offering children a fun and educational introduction to the Ulster-Scots people who helped shape the founding of the United States.
From Ulster to America was funded by Northern Ireland Screen’s Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund and developed with support from Matthew Warwick – who also voices the eagle, and special thanks to Silverstream Primary School, Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim.
Aimed at children aged 7 to 12 this interactive series is brought to life by a cheerful animated eagle narrator who guides viewers through short, lively episodes that highlight real historical figures, from daring frontierswomen to political influencers and early American patriots.

And by using animation and interactivity, we’re making that history playful, accessible and memorable.”
Heidi McAlpin, Northern Ireland Screen Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund Manager added: “As we gear up for this year’s 250th anniversary of the US Independence, From Ulster to America brings this epic Ulster-Scots story to a younger online audience.
