New Covid Recovery Programme for Ulster-Scots...

07 January 2022

New Covid Recovery Programme for Ulster-Scots NOW OPEN

The new Covid Recovery Programme for Ulster-Scots organisations (CRPO) is NOW OPEN for applications.

The funding programme is open to Ulster-Scots organisations across Northern Ireland.  It aims to reduce or remove operating deficits in eligible groups which have been caused by Covid. It is hoped this support may alleviate the significant financial pressures they face and help them to get back up and running again.

Applications and supporting documentation must be submitted via the Agency’s online funding portal, which can be accessed HERE.

The portal will automatically close at 5.00pm on Friday 28th January 2022 with decisions expected shortly afterwards.

Ulster-Scots Agency CEO Ian Crozier said, “Many Ulster-Scots groups will have a hole in their finances because of Covid, maybe because their income is down, their costs are up or a combination of both.  This scheme is an important mechanism to fill that hole.  The scheme is a bit different from our normal grant programmes because it is focused on funding financial deficits, but groups should not be put off from applying because it sounds a bit more complicated.  We have worked hard to make the scheme as straightforward as possible and many of the financial parts of the form will calculate automatically once you put your figures in.  It is likely that many of the groups funded under our last Covid grant programme will also be eligible for support this time.  We strongly recommend that groups that think they may be eligible have a good read at the Guidance Notes and get in touch with the various organisations that are available to help with completing the application.”

Help to complete the form is available from several organisations in the Ulster-Scots sector:
