Safeguarding Training . Exploring Good Practice...

Volunteer Now Enterprises Ltd is offering free integrated safeguarding training as part of our Department of Communities Safeguarding Children and Adults in the Arts and Culture Sector project.

The training is on offer to the groups supported by Arts Council for Northern Ireland, Ulster – Scots Agency and Foras na Gaeilge.

The integrated training programme is aimed at those who engage with children, young people and adults at risk.  It covers:

·         Legal context and policy context of safeguarding children and adults.

·         Awareness of vulnerability.

·         Awareness of abuse issues.

·         Procedures for reporting concerns.

·         Code of behaviour for staff/volunteers.

This training is free but places are limited to 3 per organisation and need to be booked in advance.  Places can be booked by emailing roisin.timlin@volunteernow.co.uk .

 Safeguarding policy – The starting point! Workshop

Volunteer Now Enterprises Ltd is offering free guidance on developing a safeguarding policy as part of our Department of Communities Safeguarding Children and Adults in the Arts and Culture Sector project.

It is essential that organisations working with adults at risk and children have a safeguarding policy in place. 

This workshop will outline the minimum standards for good practice, policy statement, procedures and guidelines.

This workshop is free but places are limited to 2 per organisation and need to be booked in advance.  Places can be booked by emailing roisin.timlin@volunteernow.co.uk .

Keeping Children Safe: Training for managers, supervisors and management committee members.

Volunteer Now Enterprises Ltd is offering free safeguarding training as part of our Department of Communities Safeguarding Children and Adults in the Arts and Culture Sector project.

The training is on offer to the groups supported by Arts Council for Northern Ireland, Ulster – Scots Agency and Foras na Gaeilge.

This training is aimed at individuals who have responsibility for the management or supervision of staff and volunteers working with children and young people, management committee members and those with governance responsibilities.

The training will cover the following:

·         Legal context

·         Recruitment and selection

·         Effective management

·         Dealing with breach of code of behaviour

·         Dealing with allegations

This training is free but places are limited to 4 per organisation and need to be booked in advance.  Places can be booked by emailing roisin.timlin@volunteernow.co.uk .

Please note that you MUST have attended Exploring Good Practice Standards training before attending this training.
