Ulster-Scots Musical Celebration in...

The first evening Monday 2 September at 7.30pm in Desertmartin Orange Hall will be dedicated to Ulster-Scots history. Traditional Ulster and Scottish music will also be provided by Bann Valley Keynotes and Eden Accordion Band Ballymoney.

The second evening Wednesday 4 September at 7.30pm in Desertmartin Orange Hall will be dedicated to the Ulster-Scots Language where lectures, readings, storytelling, poems and recitals will take place  Anne Morrision-Smyth, Howl Yer Wheesht, Cranny Pipe Band and Maghera Musical Appreciation Society. 

 

The Final evening Thursday 5 September 2012 at 7.30pm in Desertmartin Parish Church Hall will be an evening of traditional Ulster-Scots music with Alistair Scott Ceilidh Band, 1147ers, Clare McKinney and Castledawson Flute Band. This event will focus on the history and culture of traditional music and dance through traditional instruments such as flutes, fifes, drums, Pipes and other percussion
