Hosted by Church Street Community Association, Stepping Forward with Ulster-Scots Family Together will run from Saturday 6th to Thursday 11th July 2013.

Saturday 6th July

Community Fun Day and Ulster-Scots Family Together.

The fun fair will provide lots of activities for all the family, bouncy castles, lazer quest, merry go round, slides, model aeroplanes, Fire Bridge, PSNI and much more.  All this takes place in Rectory Grounds beside the Orange Hall from 12pm – 5.15pm.

A selection of Ulster-Scots groups will perform including Desertmartin Accordion Band, Victor Brownlow, Gary Dempsey & Rae Shiels, Emma Forde, Loughinsholin Cultural Music Group and Scottish Highland dancer Hannah Evans.

Thursday 11 July

Aughrim Fife and Lambeg Drumming Club, Wilson Scott and David Morrow and Bellaghy Pipe band will provide musical entertainment in Bank Square, Maghera. This will also include a history talk of Ulster-Scots in Maghera Area.

The evening will close with a fireworks display at St Lurach’s Grounds at 10.30pm
