An Ulster-Scots Poetry Writing Workshop will take place at Moneyrea Primary School as part of the 2024 Robert Huddleston Community Festival.

The Robert Huddleston Community Festival takes place from 7-11 October 2024 and celebrates the life and works of Ulster-Scots poet Robert Huddleston. Also known as the 'Bard of Moneyrea', it is thought Huddleston wrote hundreds of poems during his life.

Throughout the week, a series of events will be held, including an Ulster-Scots Poetry Writing Workshop. 

When: Monday 7 October (7pm - 8.30pm)

Where: Moneyrea Primary School (36 Church Road, Moneyreagh, Co Down, BT23 6BB). 

The workshop will be led by locally-published poet, Ray Givans. Please note this workshop is limited to 16 places - no previous experience is necessary.
