FREE SUPPORT FOR SAFEGUARDING
The Ulster-Scots Agency is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. There have been numerous updates to the terminology, legislation and best practice over the last few years meaning that our funding requirements have been updated. Therefore, in order the help Ulster-Scots groups who intend to apply for funding, we would like to highlight the FREE support provided by Volunteer Now Enterprises Ltd for Ulster-Scots groups, providing policy and practice reviews as well as safeguarding training.
The dedicated Training and Development Officer for the project, Roisin Timlin, can help you assess your practice using a simple checklist of standards that are intended to be the minimum standards of practice in organisations that are working with children and young people, adults or both. A number of community groups and organisations have already availed of the support and all have given great positive feedback.
Reviews and training can be organised according to your availability, however upcoming training already scheduled is listed below:
