Grant Funding Available from The Ulster-Scots Agency
The Agency can provide support for various Ulster-Scots events/projects.Funding is available to individuals, community groups and non-profit making organisations that carry out activities in line with the Agency’s aims and objectives and would not otherwise have the necessary resources.
The different types of support available are:
Financial Assistance Scheme:
This is a rolling application therefore there is no closing date and applications can be made at anytime during the year.There are now three possible awards available for:
1. Voluntary and Community Groups 2. Partnership funding 3. Sponsorship
The type of projects that fall within this category can be continuous events such as music/dance tuition or one-off events such as Burns night celebrations, dance competitions or concerts.Our deadline for receipt of fully completed applications including all additional documentation is 3 calendar months before the commencement of the event.
Ulster-Scots Summer Schools:
The Agency can part fund these projects, they must have a previously defined number of Ulster-Scots activities.This is a staged application process with applications only being processed once a year.The initial stage is the completion of an Expression of Interest form; the forms for 2010 Summer Schools will be available in 'Applying for funding' of the website in Autumn 2009.
Festivals:
The Agency deems a festival to be a series of various, related activities contained within a condensed time frame, at least 1 day for 8-10 hours.The date for making an application for festivals in 2009 has now passed; application forms for festivals in 2010 will be available in 'Applying for funding' of the website in Autumn 2009.
Information for Dance & Musical Tuition:
From 2010 the Agency will operate a system of tranche funding for Music and Dance Tuition. The date for making an application for Music and Dance Tuition for 2010 has now passed.
