"Gunk" [Gunk] Meaning: Shock
The Agency can provide support for various Ulster-Scots events/projects. Funding is available to individuals, community groups and non-profit making organisations that carry out activities in line with the Agency’s aims and objectives and would not otherwise have the necessary resources.
Financial Assistance Scheme
This is a rolling application therefore there is no closing date and applications can be made at anytime during the year. There are now three possible awards available for:
1. Voluntary and Community Groups
2. Partnership funding
3. Sponsorship
The type of projects that fall within this category can be one-off events such as Burns night celebrations, dance competitions or concerts. Our deadline for receipt of fully completed applications including all additional documentation is 2 calendar months before the commencement of the event.
Ulster-Scots Summer Schools:
The Agency can part fund these projects, they must have a previously defined number of Ulster-Scots activities. This is a staged application process with applications only being processed once a year. The funding for these projects has not yet opened for 2013.
Festivals:
The Agency deems a festival to be a series of various, related activities contained within a condensed time frame, at least 1 day for 8-10 hours. Applications for festival festivals during 2013 is currently open and will close on Friday 22 March 2013 at 2.00pm.
Information for Dance & Musical Tuition:
Applications for Music and Dance Tuition during 2013 has now passed. Funding for applications during 2014 will open in the Autumn of 2013.
