EXPRESSION OF INTEREST – LOCAL AUTHORITIES & EVENT ORGANISERS
The Ulster-Scots Agency is charged with the promotion of Ulster-Scots language, culture and heritage. In fulfilling this role, each year the Agency showcases Ulster-Scots traditions, through performance, demonstrations and exhibitions, at a diverse range of festivals and events.
In recent years we have showcased Ulster-Scots dance, music and culture at the Balmoral Show, the National Country Sports Fair, the National Ploughing Championships, Cruise Ship welcomes and at the All Ireland Fleadh.
In 2011 we will showcase Ulster-Scots culture and heritage at a number of major events. However opportunities are limited and we would like to invite organisers of major events in your area that may be interested in incorporating an Ulster-Scots showcase to a wider event programme to contact us at the earliest opportunity.
