Portrush Library and the Ulster-Scots Agency presents The Decade of Centenaries: World War 1 in North Antrim.

S. Alex. Blair, the well known Ballymoney historian will discuss the impact of the First World War on North Antrim, the recruitment of large numbers of young men from the area and the military medals won on the battlefield. The large numbers of casualties in the Battle of the Somme caused great distress in the area and the fallen  are commemorated on many local war memorials.

Time: 2:00pm-4:00pm

Admission free, however booking is recommended.
