09 October 2009

Following on from the huge success of the first edition of the Ulster Scots Agency's magazine style publication, 'Oot An Aboot' the world of Ulster Scots, work has started on the second edition of the magazine. The Agency plans to publish the magazine in early December 2009.

The magazine, which has a very strong community feel will promote the language, culture and heritage of Ulster-Scots, highlight the success of Ulster-Scots community ran projects that have taken place during 2009 and hopefully encourage more community led Ulster-Scots activity in the future.

20,000 copies of the first magazine have now been distributed across the Province and in various areas within the Republic of Ireland.  Like last year, the magazine will be available from all main Tourist Information Offices, libraries, selected museums, shopping centres and a number of NIR railway stations, Ulsterbus stations.  NI / RoI based community centres, business proprietors and anyone else interested in distributing the second issue of ‘Oot An Aboot’ should contact the Ulster-Scots Agency by emailing lyndsey.hanna@ulsterscotsagency.org.uk to register their interest (closing date Friday 30th October).  In addition to supplying the free magazines, the Agency will also supply a magazine stand to anyone interested in distributing the publication.

For full details of when the magazine will be launched and where the publication will be available will be published on this website when available.
