General Ulysses S. Grant Monument Unveiled

A new bronze statue of Ulysses S. Grant by Sculptor, Paula Slater was unveiled at West Point Academy, New York on Thursday 25 April 2019.
Grant led the Union Army to victory in the American Civil War and was later elected 18th President of the United States and this year marks the the 150th Anniversary of his inauguration as President.
The Ulster-Scots Agency is currently investing £30k to upgrade the storytelling at Grant's ancestral home at Dergenagh, County Tyrone.
