Belfast Tattoo 2015

The 2015 Belfast Tattoo took place at The SSE Arena, Belfast, last weekend with over 600 performers from across Ulster, Republic Of Ireland, Canada, Netherlands and Italy, showcasing some of the finest marching bands, musicians, and dancers in a three hour show, building up to the Grand Finale of the Massed Pipe And Drums.

This year, we were delighted that there were many overseas visitors attending The 2015 Belfast Tattoo from the Scotland, England, Ireland, USA, France, Spain, Sweden, Oman, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark making this a truly international event for the performers and audience alike.

The Band Of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines, were the headline act for  2015, who are world-renowned for their musicianship and precision marching performance, and received a rapturous response.   

The full line-up comprised The 2nd Battalion The Royal Irish Regiment, Calgary Police Service Band (Canada), The Drum and Showband Adest Musica (Netherlands), Storici Sbandieratori dell Contrade di Cori (Italy), The Ravens Drum & Bugle Corps (Athlone), Bleary & District Pipe Band, Thiepval Memorial Pipe Band, Killeen Pipe Band, Brookeborough Flute Band, Lisburn Young Defenders Flute Band, together with the Belfast Tattoo Highland & Irish Dance Troupe.  The audience were also entertained by Murley Silver Band as they queued to enter the venue.

Colin Wasson, Director The Belfast Tattoo said today“ The Belfast Tattoo has come and gone for 2015, with what was surely our biggest production to date.  Preparations have already begun for The 2016 Belfast Tattoo, which will be an even bigger event.  We thank all those bands and artistes who supported us this year and we are looking forward to the reaction next year. “
