Music and Dance Tuition Funding 2015 Update

05 September 2014

The Ulster-Scots Agency will open the Music and Dance Tuition Programme for 2015 on 1st October 2014.

To assist groups interested in making an application to this programme the Ulster-Scots Agency, in partnership with the Ulster-Scots Community Network, have organised a series of public information events.

We fully recognise the disappointment experienced by many groups who were unsuccessful in the application last year due to the programme being significantly oversubscribed.  We expect a similar situation to arise this year and would therefore encourage your group to make every effort to attend the public information events and make yourselves fully aware of all the requirements of the 2015 programme.

The public information events will commence at 8.00pm sharp on the following dates:

Monday 22nd September - Millbrook Lodge Hotel, Ballynahinch

Monday 22nd September - Silver Birches Hotel, Omagh

Wednesday 24th September - Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen

Wednesday 24th September - Holiday Inn Express, Antrim

Thursday 25th September - Royal Hotel, Cookstown

Monday 29th September - Clooney Hall, Londonderry

Wednesday 1st October - Brownlow House, Lurgan

Thursday 2nd October - Ullans Centre, Ballymoney

The Ulster-Scots Agency has devised new guidance notes and has revised the application form for the 2015 Music and Dance Tuition Programme.  Application forms will be available from 1st October 2014 and can be downloaded from the Agency’s website

The closing date for Applications is 3.00pm on Friday 31st October 2014.

Groups unable to attend the public information events should contact the Ulster-Scots Community Network on (028) 9043 6710 and arrange an appointment to meet one of the community workers in the Belfast office.

The Ulster-Scots Community Network will be in the Ulster-Scots Regional Office on Wednesday 24 September from 1.00pm to 4.00pm for those groups based in County Donegal.

The Ulster-Scots Community Network will also meet with groups from Cavan and Monaghan by appointment.  Groups wishing to avail of this service should contact Audrey Freen on (00 353) 74 91 73876 or via email
