Runs to 31 August 2019

This exciting new exhibition will celebrate Belfast’s linen heritage and the many businesses connected to the linen industry in Belfast’s Linen Quarter.

Examining social history, working life, family life and the health of the workers, it includes items loaned from PRONI, Coleraine Museum and linen specialists McBurney and Black.

Artists Anna Smyth, Claire Mooney and Nathanael Smyth will showcase current work reflecting the influence and use of linen today. Photographs created as part of a community outreach project in partnership with Belfast Exposed will also be exhibited.

This project has been funded by the Department for Communities, Tourism Northern Ireland and National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of the European Year of Cultural Heritage.
