Ulster-Scots Creative Writing Masterclass

02 August 2025, 14:00, Portaferry Library

Runs to 02 August 2025

Step into the rich rhythm and resonance of the Ulster-Scots tongue with this hands-on creative writing masterclass, led by writer and mentor Anne McMaster.

This special workshop invites participants of all backgrounds – whether you're a complete beginner, a curious explorer of Ulster-Scots culture, or someone who holds treasured memories of the hamely tongue – to rediscover the words and sounds that shaped our stories, songs, and everyday speech.

Together, you'll explore the living language of Ulster-Scots, uncover lost or familiar expressions, and use them to inspire fresh creative writing.

Spaces are limited, so pre-booking is essential. Workshop is for those aged 16+.
