A Celebration of Culture & Heritage

3rd - 12th JULY 2010 Coleraine Twelfth Festival will for the fifth year present a varied programme of entertainment in the week leading up to the Twelfth.

The celebration of the 320th Anniversary of the Battle of the Boyne will be hosted by Coleraine No.2 District L.O.L. in Portrush, where they will be joined by Lodges and Bands from City of Londonderry and Donegal, Limavady and Macosquin.

The festival opens on Saturday 3rd July when there will be an afternoon of entertainment in The Diamond, Coleraine with artists including the Ulster Scots Experience.

The historical exhibition will be open in Coleraine Town Hall throughout the week. Local historian Robert Anderson will lead our walk, ‘Coleraine - The Plantation Town’, around the town centre. Robert will also narrate the river trips on TheLady Sandel.

2010 sees the return of our junior 5-a-side football competition and Highland Games at The Crescent Playing Fields.

Portstewart Town Hall is once again the venue for the Ulster-Scots concert on Thursday 8th and Coleraine Town Centre will host our historical re-enactment on Thursday and Friday.

A spectacular fireworks display over the River Bann will round off the evening of entertainment in Christie Park on Friday 9th.

Visitors to Coleraine Town Centre can enjoy another afternoon of traditional music on Saturday 10th, when there will also be musical entertainment in The Amphitheatre, Portrush.

The grand finale of the festival will be on Monday 12th July when thousands will enjoy the colourful parade in Portrush.
