A talk on the life and poetry of Robert Huddleston will take place at Moneyrea Primary School on Wednesday 9 October.

The event is part of the 2024 Robert Huddleston Community Festival (7-11 October) and celebrates the life and works of Ulster-Scots poet Robert Huddleston. Also known as the 'Bard of Moneyrea', it is thought Huddleston wrote hundreds of poems during his life.

Throughout the week, a series of events will be held, including a talk on 'The Life and Poetry of Robert Huddleston'.

When: Wednesday 9 October (7pm - 8.30pm)

Where: Moneyrea Primary School (36 Church Road, Moneyreagh, Co Down, BT23 6BB). 

The illustrated talk will be led by Sandra Gilpin, local historian and Huddleston aficionado. 

Tickets are £3 and available to purchase from the school reception or contact the school office on 028 9044 8443. 

The Robert Huddleston Community Festival is facilitated by Moneyrea Primary School PTA, in association with the Ulster-Scots Agency.
