How men with Ulster connections helped shape America through battle

United States founding father GEORGE WASHINGTON was always comfortable in the presence of Ulstermen. Some of his closest aides in the Revolutionary War and in the establishment of the American nation were either born on Ulster shores or were first or second generation from Scots-Irish immigrant stock. Looking back to the events in America 226 years ago, the careers of seven of the most distinguished soldiers with Ulster connections in the leadership of Washington's army are detailed.
