A former teacher and lecturer, Jim's role is to implement the Agency's strategic objectives for education and language development. He spent two years developing teaching materials at the Ulster-Scots Curriculum Project at Stranmillis University College, Belfast, before joining the Agency.

Vanessa's role is to promote the study and conservation of Ulster-Scots culture and develop activities in music, dance, literature, drama and visual arts. A former primary school principal, she actively promoted Ulster-Scots culture throughout her 15 years in the teaching profession.
