"Gunk" [Gunk] Meaning: Shock
06 October 2016, 18:30, Comber Library, Newtownards Road, Comber BT23 5AU
Runs to 06 October 2016
Join us in Comber Library on 6th October at 6.30pm – 7.30pm as some members of local folk group Risin’ Stour explore the history behind the music and dance traditions of the Ulster-Scots community.
The stretch of water between Ulster and Scotland has long been recognised as a bridge rather than a barrier. Coastal migrations between these two shores – in places less than 20 miles apart have been a feature of our cultural development for thousands of years.
This event is free to attend and is part of the Ulster Scots Agency and Libraries NI partnership project.
