Now in its 6th year the Dalriada Festival in partnership with the Sunday Life and Belfast Telegraph and supported by the Ulster-Scots Agency will run from July 16 – 23 at Glenarm Castle.

The Dalriada Festival at the historic Glenarm Castle promises to host its strongest, biggest and best festival line-up to date with a mix of entertainment for all the family. The Agency is supporting this festival and a fantastic line-up of Ulster-Scots entertainment has been arranged, performers include the Broken Strings Bluegrass Band, Cup o Joe, Willie Drennan, Mullaghboy Accordion Band, the Alastair Scott Ceilidh Band and the Gribben Sisters.  There will also be Highland Dancing and the Highland Games V Strong Man.

Kicking off on July 16 and 17, Glenarm Castle takes centre stage during both days with the world famous Highland Games and Strongman, the County Antrim Pipe Band Championships, numerous music, comedy and dance stages, fine foods, crafts and shopping, and for the little ones, the hugely popular and Official PAW PATROL from Nickelodeon. 
 
On the evening of July 16 lead singer and star of The Commitments, Andrew Strong will take to the main stage with his soul orchestra, to mark The Commitments movie’s 25th Anniversary. Irish Rock Band Bagatelle will be co-headlining, as part of their ‘One for the Road Tour’, before retiring later this year. Up and coming bands The Logues and Storm Tree will be supporting along with other special guests.

Nigel Campbell, Events and Marketing Manager for Glenarm Castle, is excited about the forthcoming festival.  He says; “This is the 6th annual Dalriada Festival and year on year the event gets even bigger and better.  Almost 28,000 people attended our festival in 2015 and we are confident that we’re going to attract even more footfall this year, with such a strong festival line-up.
