Dr Audrey McKeown has been tracing the Moore Family Tree and their roots from the Scottish Lowlands, Donegal, Ardstraw and beyond for over 4 years.

Guest Speakers: Dr Audrey McKeown / Ms Belinda Mahaffy

Audrey will give a presentation supplemented by family and library photos dating back to 1613 to 1980. Early information showed the family settling and farming in the Laggan area of Donegal before moving around the early 1800s to Ardstraw. They were tenant farmers on the Abercorn Estates of Magavelin (East Donegal) and Derrywoon (Ardstraw/Baronscourt).

Belinda Mahaffy is a local historian and author of 'A history of Ballindrait Church and its People'. She has extensive knowledge of the history and people of East Donegal .
