Ballycoan Flute Band Concert in Wallace Park

17 August 2014, 15:00, Wallace Park, Lisburn

Runs to 17 August 2014

Now that the good weather has arrived, Wallace Park is getting ready for its Summer Programme ‘Park Life’.

From Saturday 28th June to Sunday 31st August, the Park will play host to a series of Ulster Scots music concerts on Sundays throughout the summer.

All events are free and open to the public.

Ballycoan Flute Band was formed in 1951 by a number of local lads. Over the years the band has fulfilled engagements throughout Northern Ireland, as well as England and Scotland. In 2011 the band celebrated its 60th anniversary.

Councillor Margaret Tolerton said that she hoped as many people as possible would support and enjoy the events arranged in Wallace Park.

“Wallace Park is a fantastic facility for all the people of Lisburn and what better way to enjoy the summer sunshine than to come along to Park Life during July and August.  There is much talk about holidaying at home these days and with so many wonderful events for all the family planned in Wallace Park, right on our doorstep, it is gearing up for a super Summer in Lisburn,” said Councillor
