Drumlough Pipe Band Concert in Wallace Park

10 August 2014, 15:00, Wallace Park, Lisburn

Runs to 10 August 2014

Now that the good weather has arrived, Wallace Park is getting ready for its Summer Programme ‘Park Life’.

From Saturday 28th June to Sunday 31st August, the Park will play host to a series of Ulster Scots music concerts on Sundays throughout the Summer.

All events are free and open to the public.

Drumlough Pipe Band is from the town land of Drumlough. The Band was formed in 1950 and the first public appearance was in 1951. The Patron of the band in its formative years was Harry Ferguson (The inventor of the Massey Ferguson Tractor!).

Councillor Margaret Tolerton said that she hoped as many people as possible would support and enjoy the events arranged in Wallace Park.

“Wallace Park is a fantastic facility for all the people of Lisburn and what better way to enjoy the summer sunshine than to come along to Park Life during July and August.  There is much talk about holidaying at home these days and with so many wonderful events for all the family planned in Wallace Park, right on our doorstep, it is gearing up for a super Summer in Lisburn,” said Councillor Tolerton.
