'Oot an Aboot with the Hamely Tongue of the Ulster-Scots'
Desertmartin Parish Church Hall at 7.45pm. This event will be an evening dedicated to the Ulster-Scots Language which will include storytelling, readings/recitals, drama and song. Taking part will be local primary school children and guests. Other attractions will include exhibitions and displays of literacy works from Ulster-Scots writers and poets. This event is to promote and highlight the importance of the Ulster-Scots Language.

'The Historic Connections of the Ulster-Scots'
Desertmartin Parish Church Hall at 7.45pm. This event will be delivered through lectures and displays of Ulster-Scots History which will feature a special focus on how the local area and the Province of Ulster developed and transformed since the Plantation by the Scottish and Irish settlers as well as exploring the Ulster-Scots in America during that period of our history. There will also be lectures on ancestry and genealogy of the Scottish and Irish Clans as well as exhibitions and displays of artefacts, visual arts and media. There will also be displays of traditional Ulster and Scottish music which will include Lambeg and Skeleton drumming, fifing and Accordionists.

'Traditional Ulster-Scots Cultural Music Workshop'
Desertmartin Parish Church Hall at 7.45pm. This event will be an evening dedicated to the history and culture of traditional Ulster-Scots music and dance. This will be delivered through displays and performances by professional dancers and musicians on a variety of traditional instruments.

'St. Andrew's Night Soiree'
Royal Hotel, Cookstown at 8pm. This will be the finale of our festival which will be a celebration of our Ulster-Scots traditions and culture. There will be a wide variety of entertainment that will appeal to everyone where they will be encouraged to wear something tartan on the night. The line up of artistes that will take part will include traditional musician, storyteller, poet and writer Willie Drennan together with the Ulster-Scots Folk Band. Other attractions will be Pipers, Drummers, Dancers and Accordionists. There will be a buffet supper served at this event and admittance will be by ticket only. Tickets costs £10 each and are available from the group secretary – Gareth Campbell on 07740175745.

Special note:
Admission for the above events will be £3 per person. Children admitted free of charge. Admission for the last night of the festival (Friday, 26th November 2010) which will move location to Royal Hotel, Cookstown, admittance will be strictly by ticket only at the cost of £10 per person.
