New Board for Agency
A new board to lead the Ulster-Scots Agency over the next three years is in place.  The Agency's former chairman, Lord Laird of Artigarvan, was reconfirmed as chairman in the much awaited round of appointments to various North-South institutions.

Promoting a rich identity and culture
This year 2003 will prove to be a landmark in the resurgence of Ulster-Scots culture, history, language and identity.  Despite set-backs Ulster-Scots identity in all forms is taking its rightful place.

Language Society Launches First Schools Competition
The first phase in introducing Ulster-Scots teaching into primary schools on Northern Ireland has begun.
