RESUMPTION OF GRANTS SCHEME |
FONT size=1> The Agency is pleased to announce the resumption of its grants scheme. Chief Executive George Patton said that with effect from Monday October 4, 2004, the Agency is prepared to consider grant applications from organisations proposing to undertake programmes which meet the Agency’s aims and objectives.
Commenting on the recent review of the grants scheme, Mr Patton said: “ The Agency will be introducing new procedures on how grants are accessed and a more rigorous monitoring system to ensure that offers of financial assistance meet the requirements of government accounting. In future applicants will be required to provide more in-depth information in support of their applications”.
George Holmes, Director of Culture, said that while the new system would involve an increased workload for the Agency, he was confident that the arrangements will result in an enhanced and more focused scheme for the community.
In advance of the introduction of the revised procedures the Agency will be arranging a series of awareness events during the coming months.
