James McIlhatton

One of the newly featured poets in the language section of the May edition of The Ulster-Scot newspaper is James McIlhatton.  Although new to us, James has been writing poetry for the last eight years and has been highly successful in his attempts. He has gained international recognition in five continents and his poetry has been translated into six different languages.  His latest poem was sent into the Ulster-Scot newspaper and won him the May editions prize money of £30.
James is the author of three books, two on local history and one entitled 'The Happy Wanderer', which is a series of short stories and poems with an Ulster-Scots theme.
